The Building Community Center brings people together through outreach, education, community events, and programs that support individuals and families. We are creating a welcoming space where people can connect, access opportunities, build relationships, and grow together.

Through community outreach, educational programs, family and youth initiatives, and special events, we seek to respond to real community needs while creating spaces where people feel welcomed, valued, and connected.
Our purpose is simple: build stronger people, stronger families, and stronger communities.
Building Community has brought people together through outreach, education, service, and special community events.
Our work has included first-time homebuyer education, community meals, support for university students, fundraising for the University of Bridgeport Campus Choir, holiday gatherings for international students, and community Christmas events.
Each experience reflects our commitment to meeting people where they are, building meaningful relationships, and creating opportunities for people to connect and thrive.
The Building Community Center is developing programs and opportunities that respond to the needs of individuals and families in our community.
Areas of focus include youth and family engagement, educational workshops, financial and homeownership education, community outreach, special events, and opportunities for connection and service.
As new programs and partnerships are developed, we will continue creating practical ways for people to learn, connect, participate, and grow.
Building strong communities takes collaboration. We value relationships with schools, colleges, nonprofit organizations, businesses, churches, community leaders, and others who share a commitment to helping people thrive.
